Just one year ago, we announced a major new partnership with Rakuten, a global leader in internet services, to bring our ABCmouse English Learning Academy app to families in Japan. Today, we’re thrilled to announce the recent launch of a major new update to our co-branded Rakuten ABCmouse English learning app, which was led by our International Product Team at Age of Learning.
The new Rakuten ABCmouse product’s user interface was redesigned to provide an easier, distraction-free experience for both children and parents in Japan. The app features new Learning Path environments that center our engaging ABC Mouse character as the child’s friend and guide, in addition to structured lessons with hundreds of redesigned videos, games, and activities. It also includes speech recognition and scoring technology features to help children practice their English. For parents, there’s a dedicated area where they can listen to their children’s recordings, view scores, and track usage.
This successful launch of Rakuten ABCmouse is another step in Age of Learning’s ongoing effort to bring engaging, high-quality English language learning to children around the world and sets the stage for the expansion of our ELL product to additional countries worldwide.
In addition to our International Product Team, our Studio, ELL Curriculum, and Globalization teams at Age of Learning were essential contributors to this major milestone. Congratulations to all!
